Will you be the voice for a child?
Child Enrichment’s CASA of the Augusta Judicial Circuit is looking for some passionate people who would like to give their voice to speak up for abused and neglected children in foster care.
CASA—Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children bring individual attention, urgency, and advocacy to abused and neglected children in the foster care system, both in and out of the court room. Ideally, a CASA’s ultimate goal is to make recommendations to the judge on what / where is the safest, permanent placement for that child. Child Enrichment's CASA Program has been serving abused and neglected children in the Augusta Judicial Circuit for over 20 years.
Child Enrichment’s CASA Program is an affiliate of Georgia CASA, a nonprofit organization with 47 community-based affiliate programs in the state. Last year, over 2,100 CASA volunteers in Georgia served 8,890 abused and neglected children. Locally, our CASA Staff and Volunteers served 399 children in Burke, Columbia, and Richmond Counties. The program is currently serving over 300 children. Along with GA CASA’s mission, there is also Child Enrichment’s mission is to provide and coordinate comprehensive intervention, stabilization, advocacy and prevention in the best interests of abused, abandoned and neglected children. Since 1978 Child Enrichment has served over 21,000 local children.
