CASA Volunteer Training

Next class will be held November 3rd-15th, 2018.
Will you be the voice for a child?
Child Enrichment’s CASA of the Augusta Judicial Circuit is looking for some passionate people who would like to give their voice to speak up for abused and neglected children in foster care.
CASA—Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children bring individual attention, urgency, and advocacy to abused and neglected children in the foster care system, both in and out of the court room. Ideally, a CASA’s ultimate goal is to make recommendations to the judge on what / where is the safest, permanent placement for that child. Child Enrichment's CASA Program has been serving abused and neglected children in the Augusta Judicial Circuit for over 20 years.
Child Enrichment’s CASA Program is an affiliate of Georgia CASA, a nonprofit organization with 47 community-based affiliate programs in the state. Last year, over 2,400 CASA volunteers in Georgia served 11,200 abused and neglected children. Locally, our CASA Staff and Volunteers served 524 children in Burke, Columbia, and Richmond Counties. The program is currently serving over 300 children. Along with GA CASA’s mission, there is also Child Enrichment’s mission is to provide and coordinate comprehensive intervention, stabilization, advocacy and prevention in the best interests of abused, abandoned and neglected children. Since 1978 Child Enrichment has served over 22,000 local children.
CASA Training is held four times a year. The next CASA Volunteer Training will be held November 3rd-15th, 2018. If you would like to sign up for training or have any questions, call (706) 737-4631 or fill out the form below and one of our CASA team members will get back with you.
CASA at the Capitol
Staff and Volunteers of the CASA of the Augusta Judicial Circuit program attended the CASA Day at the Capitol on February 14, 2018. This event hosted by Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates (Georgia CASA), Inc., centered around CASA volunteers, board members and staff from across the state meeting with members of the Georgia Legislature to thank them for their support of the CASA organization and to share concerns about the abused and neglected children in foster care that their CASA programs serve.
